Getting Involved: for Youth

 

PRE-CONFIRMATION 
6th and 7th grade students participate in our Pre-Confirmation program as they transition from Sunday School into the Confirmation program.

CONFIRMATION 
Our confirmation program guides 8th, 9th and 10th grade students to reaffirm their baptismal promises and continue their lifetime of learning and growing in the Christian faith. 

  • NEW 8th or 9th Grade Youth
    If you would like to join the Ascension Confirmation Program, please contact Tracy or 336-3561 x5.
     
  • 8th and 9th Grade Youth
    Confirmation will meet on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8:00PM beginning September 18, 2024.
      
  • 10th Grade Confirmation Mentor Year Students
    In this portion of the Confirmation Program, 10th graders are paired with a mentor from the congregation to explore how both the mentor and confirmation student experience faith in daily living.
     
  • Confirmation Service
    The 2025 Confirmation service will be Sunday, October 26 at our 10:30 AM worship service. 
     

YOUTH FORUM
High school youth gather for faith, fellowship and fun on Sunday mornings during the Education hour (9:15 - 10:15AM). 

HIGH SCHOOL CHRISTCARE
Starting in October - Wednesdays from 6:45PM to 8:00PM in the Youth Room
What is High School ChristCare? Each ChristCare group is a small community of faith where the participants grow deeper in relationships with each other and with God. If you have any questions or interested in signing up, please contact Tracy.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP TEAM
Open to all 6th - 12th  students
Everyone is a leader (even teens) in one way or another. Whether you are in a formal leadership role or not, you are a leader. Whether you lead at church, school, in the community or in your home this group is for you. On a regular basis we will gather to talk about leadership, life, faith and have some fun.  The Youth Leadership Team will take an active role in planning activities for their peers.  We have a lot to learn from one another.  There will also be some special activities together throughout the year.  READY, SET, LEAD! 

SUMMER SERVICE LEARNING TRIP
Our Summer Service Learning Trips offer opportunities for High School youth to live out and deepen their faith through service. More details to come.  Mark your calendars to reserve these dates.

MIDDLE SCHOOL SERVICE LEARNING RETREAT  
Youth going into 6th, 7th and 8th grades for the 2025/26 school year will have the opportunity to attend a local Summer Service Learning Retreat. More details to come.  Mark your calendars to reserve these dates.
